Getting Around

Sights are thin in this area, but if you like international designer labels, this is where you can work the plastic, albeit at a huge markup from prices you’d find in the States. Metro Line 2 takes you to the Nanjing Xi Lu stations, and Lines 2 and 7 take you to Jing'an Temple. To wander the small streets behind Jing'an Temple, take Line 7 to Changshou Lu station and walk south. If you want to take a taxi afterward, joining the line at the Shanghai Centre/Portman Ritz-Carlton is a good idea, especially when it's raining.
